Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I, you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed.
At the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.
All is well!
In memory of my Papa,

Haven't been here for a while Bobbie - I'm so sorry to hear you've lost your Dad. Dads are special to girls - mine certainly was. You do look like your Mum by the way!
I love Paulo.
Flum
Hi Flum, thanks for your message! I confuse all sorts of people with this, but my Papa is my Grandpa. He was much more like a Dad though, was a constant in my life. I am his only daughter's daughter, and his first grandchild (plus we lived with them) so we shared an extra special bond! He was very special to me, and there isn't a second of the day that goes by that my heart doesn't ache for him! We've lost a great asset to us...a wonderful man, who will be forever sadly missed!! :((
